LSP NewsLSP Who Are The Laois Sports Partnership.....
Laois Sports Partnership Ltd. (LSP) is a company formed in 2002 under the direction of the Irish Sport Council to promote and support the development of physical activity in Laois. We are governed by a Board of Directors and a full-time co-ordinator and assistant are employed by the Partnership through seed funding grant aided by the Irish Sports Council. In addition the Partnership also currently employs a part-time Disability Officer through funding received under the Dormant Accounts Fund.The LSP Board meets on a bi-monthly basis to work on operational and strategic planning issues. Over the past 5 years these partners have provided a stong and dynamic input into the development of the work of the partnership. We also operate a number of subgroups which include executive, finance, grants and strategic planning. We are indebted to the hard work and commitment of our partners on our Board and indeed to all other groups in the community with whom we have established a strong working relationship over the course of the last 5 years. Without the active participation and assistance of agencies, clubs, schools, facilities and community groups we simply could not have made the progress we did or be in a position to plan for the future. |
